The CAREOLL Smart Card add-on for the CAREOLL Information System enables reading of public data from personal identification cards (ID cards or health insurance cards).
Using this add-on eliminates the possibility of recording incorrect patient data — such as spelling errors in names, incorrect use of diacritics, or transposed digits in national ID numbers.
An additional advantage is the ability to read the patient’s photo, which helps reduce identification errors during treatment and minimizes the risk of patient mix-ups (for example, entering findings into the wrong medical record).

Log and review card‑reader errors.
Windows computers
Read the ID of the e‑health card to search for the patient. If IHIS (IZIS) is integrated, patient data and insurance status can be fetched after reading the card.
